About the Ten Thousand Islands

The Ten Thousand Islands is one of the largest mangrove estuaries in North America, located along the southwest coast of Florida. This incredible wilderness is part of the Everglades National Park and the Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge.

The area is home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife, including bottlenose dolphins, West Indian manatees, American crocodiles, bald eagles, ospreys, roseate spoonbills, and hundreds of species of fish and invertebrates.

The remote barrier islands are renowned for their shelling โ€” some of the best in Florida. The islands are accessible only by boat, making our tours the perfect way to experience this pristine wilderness.
